PenciLighter is a pilot project for a product line of highlighters. I wanted to design a packaging that would act as a portable container both functionally and aesthetically. 

It immediately came to mind the color palettes associated with images, containing the key colors of the picture. I therefore decided that the highlighters would not be in classic fluorescent colors, but in soft and non-standard shades. There would also be different types of the same packaging, each with a different image and associated color palette.

I titled the product line as PenciLighter, as union between the words pencil and high-lighter. The naming emphasizes the variety of colors of the highlighters available, so wide as to seem that of pastels.

I used two different fonts: Mano Negra for the logotype and Aganè for the packaging informations.

Mano Negra is a script font used the logotype. It reminds of brushstrokes, so it was perfect to convey the idea of art and illustration. It's free for personal and commercial use.

Aganè is a sans-serif font used the informations in the packaging. It's easier to read in small dimensions and it comes with more styles than Mano Negra. It's free for personal and commercial use.
